The Enchanted: A Novel | Rene Denfeld

I occasionally had to put the book down because of the horrors of prison. Still, pauses included, it was a fast read and beautifully written. I picked it up because of the way the narrator speaks, so poetic and magical. I stayed for the intensity and reality.
