That's the thing about books. They let you travel without moving your feet.

Pickpick

As I discovered more of the story & characters It fell quickly in2 a page turner. I anxiously watched the story unfold. Told in multiple prespectives added to the overall feel. Watch the separate journeys of the characters as their separate stories come 2gether, drift apart & reunite at the end. A kidnapping that brings U into the pain, suffering & grief that pulls parents apart, 2 the thriving & survival of a child, 2 the heroism of a stranger.

Love, Heather | Laurie Petrou

Pickpick

Love, Heather was one emotional read. This was an amazing story about the trials and tribulations in teens in today's society. Petrou dives into bullying, rape culture, along with the pain and suffering youth endure from both. The book goes on to show the effects these things have on young impressionable teens. We even see the harsh effects that the main character turned to from feeling alone, misunderstood and isolated. A profound powerful read.

Lisa Jewell has wowed me once again. The Family Upstairs was one of my most anticipated reads of the year, it did not dissappoint. With short chapters, a now and then perspective this was a fast paced read I didn't want to put down.
The story starts in Chelsea, 3 adults are found dead, perhaps a cult suicide? A baby was also found but the other children who lived there have simply vanished. Will the truth of what transpired ever come to light?
