This was such a unique book! I loved it!!!
The story started off a little slow to me and it took me a while to get into it. But then I started to understand more of what was going on and I was hooked!
I fell in love with the characters. And I was so intrigued by the plot!! The Forgetting really got me thinking about how important our memories are.
I highly recommend if you're looking for a different dystopian!

Carla | Michael Gryboski

Mehso-so

I just finished Carla by Michael Gryboski, and I really enjoyed it! I gave it 3.5/5 stars! Carla is an adult novel about a girl named Carla who secretly works for a huge terrorist group, a job she can't really get out of. Eventually, things get a little crazy, and she's on the run.
This book started off slow to me but really picked up in the middle! Gryboski's writing was very unique and descriptive. I recommend if you like darker contemporaries!

The Selection | Kiera Cass
post image

The Selection series by Kiera Cass is a YA dystopian series. I know there are some that think it isn't very original and it's just another dystopian series, but I honestly love this series. If you're looking for something easy and fun to read, this is the series for you!

Exactly 20 years ago today, a book was published that would later change many lives for the better. This book was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.
I can't believe it's been 20 years!! Rowling's story is one of fantasy, love, magic, adventure, and friendship. The world she created has caused so many people to fall in love with reading.
The Harry Potter series means SO much to me, and it will forever be my favorite series of all time. ✨⚡️

Traveling is one of my favorite things to do!! Someday, I want to travel the world seeing everything I can and writing about my experiences. I am actually going on a trip very soon, and I'm excited for that new adventure!
Amy & Roger's Epic Detour is a book about two people who take an epic road trip across the country. It's the ultimate traveling novel!!
Q: If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? I would go to London!

Magic_of_stories There are so many places I'd love to go but New York and Paris are one of the top ones!❤ 7y

Who is your favorite literary couple?
For me it would be Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase, aka Percabeth from the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series
Percy and Annabeth are one of my favorite couples in any books. I love them so much together that it hurts! Annebeth's maturity and intellect perfectly balances out Percy's bad boy attitude and joking personality. I will always love these two characters!!

SophiaAlexisBooks I love them too! They are my favorite couple ever 8y

IT CAME! I'm absolutely in love with my new Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone 20th Anniversary edition! I'm a Ravenclaw, so I got the Ravenclaw one, and this blue and black cover is gorgeous. I love the extra stuff inside, like all the Ravenclaw info and the Hogwarts map!
I am so thankful that J.K. Rowling put her pen to paper 20 years ago, because if not, we would not have this beautiful story that has changed so many lives for the better.

"Love is worth everything. Everything." - Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon

I saw the Everything Everything movie today, and I loved it! It made me fall in love with this story all over again. This book is an amazing contemporary novel about a girl who is sick and can't do what she wants to do most - go outside. But she learns that love is worth everything.
I highly recommend for a fun summer read; it will leave you smiling for sure!

"'It was books that made me feel like perhaps I was not completely alone.'" - Will Herondale in Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare

Will Herondale (in the Infernal Devices trilogy) is one of my favorite characters in literature. Partly because I want to marry him. And the other part is because I relate to him so much. His love for books is so cool to see, and it made me love him as a character so much more!!

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak is one of my favorite books of all time! It is a historical fiction novel set during WWII and the Holocaust and told from the perspective of Death who follows around a young German girl named Liesel.
I fell completely in love with these characters. I laughed and I cried (a lot). This book really made me think about serious things, which I loved. I know I will never, ever forget this book, and I highly recommend it!!

I'm totally in love with The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. Of course, everything Cassie Clare does is AMAZING. I'm now on City of Fallen Angels, and I am hooked. I can't stop reading.

The Mortal Instruments is a fantasy series full of angels, demons, vampires, werewolves, faeries, and warlocks. It is full of adventure, plot twists, lovable characters, and some heart-stopping romance. I'm enjoying every moment of this series!!
