Percy Jackson: The Complete Series
Percy Jackson: The Complete Series | Rick Riordan
111 posts | 317 read | 5 reading | 36 to read
All five novels in the bestselling, blockbuster Percy Jackson series, collected in one stunning digital edition. I was just a normal kid, going to school, playing basketball, skateboarding. The usual. Until I accidentally vaporized my maths teacher. 'Look, I didn't want to be a Half-Blood. I never asked to be the son of a Greek God.' Percy Jackson: The Complete Series includes all five novels in the action-packed, electrifying series from Rick Riordan: The Lightning Thief, The Sea of Monsters, The Titan's Curse, The Battle of the Labyrinth, and The Last Olympian. Now I spend my time battling monsters and generally trying to stay alive. Angry Gods. Cannibal Giants. Ancient Labyrinths. Untold Evils. It's not easy being a demigod. Rick Riordan has now sold an incredible 55 million copies of his books worldwide The Percy Jackson series has sold over 1.25 million copies in the UK alone

One thing I need to mention about Rick Riordan's books is that the different series can overlap or influence each other, so don't be a dummy like me and have major plot points RUINED before you get to them in the relevant series.
Check a read order chart or something before you start, because as a result of being dumb, I had a few books where they were still good, but I knew what was coming and there was no tension at all.

Loved these books. Only read The Lightning Thief for ages, before I got my hands on the rest.
Definitely a great series for those who love adventure and mythology, specifically Greek mythology.
An absolute rollercoaster of ups and downs where your never quite sure if it will all work out, and sometimes it's gets pretty dicey, it will hold you and not let go until it all resolves.

Movies are a bit pants though...

I read 5 books in July & here‘s my breakdown:
2 Graphic Novels (Saga Vol 8 & 9)
1 Audiobook (Red Seas Under Red Skies)
1 Paperback (To All the Boys I‘ve Loved Before)
1 Ebook (Iron Gold)
Seeing that two of these were over 500 pages I‘m pretty happy with what I got read!
I‘m currently repping for Bookish Balm‘s Etsy store etsy.com/shop/bookishbalms & love this ocean breeze Percy Jackson body scrub! Use my code MERE10 to save on your next order!

StillLookingForCarmenSanDiego Nicely done. TATBILB was such a cute read. 💕📚💕 6mo

I read the whole Percy Jackson series over the course of a couple days. I found them delightful! A very clever reinterpretation of Greek myths. I love a good fairytale, and this delivers.

I‘m not sure what Litten to tag, but I got a fun box from Axton delivered today. I love that name. Can‘t wait to open it.

Can‘t decide if that was a Percy Jackson lightning bolt or not. let the anxious waiting begin. #mythandlegendsJuniorswap

To my daughter‘s match, we own and have read the entire Percy Jackson and the Olympians series; Heroes of Olympus series. We have The first books in all of the Rick Riordan Presents series.
Non-fiction we have Weird but True Know-it-all Greek Mythology and a 60-second Myths Book.
We also have Percy Jackson Greek myths book.
I hope this helps.

The Cheshire Cat is a pranksters smartalic who is either causing trouble or laughing it off. But in his own way is also helpful.

So I give you Aries from Percy Jackson (or any mg middle grade book). He‘s helpful but in his own way with double speck and joking etc.

I have never thought I would come past such a marvellous series , I have always seen people read it but I never thought I would read it , but when I started reading the first one I couldn't stop, I highly recommend reading them I am still in the forth book but Rick Riordan manages to keep a good laugh through the book as the level of suspence heightens.
Also, I never thought it would be that fun to read about the Greek mythology😁♥️

2. Yup! Prefer stick actually.
3. Percy Jackson immediately came to mind. I couldn't even finish it. There are more than this though.
4. I'm getting sick, so a whole lot of taking it easy with my kiddos. Maybe finally finish a book?

These are all great. I‘m reading them to my 9 year old, and he‘s completely engrossed. The Greek pronunciation is tricky for a kid reading by him or herself. I believe the story appeals slightly more to boys, as it‘s told from Percy‘s perspective. Still, girls aren‘t shorted in the plot, and I believe it will appeal to kids in general.

Finally, from Costco as well, I picked up this box set of the original Percy Jackson books. Last year I bought signed copies of the first two books of his Trials Of Apollo series, not realizing I need to read all these books first🤦🏻‍♀️Lucky this was only $23 for the set. #winnerwinnerchickendinner

Sooo on Thursday I have my third and last exam (just kill me) and on Friday I can finally go home 🏡 💜.

Christine11 I agree about Snape - don‘t really get the love for him ! 2y
JenlovesJT47 I like Snape but don't understand why so many people give him a pass for the horrible way he treats Harry, Ron and Hermione in the earlier books. 🤔 I think it's despicable the way he treated them. 2y
thewallflower0707 @JenlovesJT47 don‘t forget how he outed Lupin, that he didn‘t care for Harry and James dying, that he destroyed the photo just to keep a piece of Lily for himself, that Neville feared him so much Snape became his dementor 2y
See All 8 Comments
thewallflower0707 @JenlovesJT47 or that Snape tried to poison Neville toad, that he favored his house in a very unfair way, that he called Lily mudblood, that his friends in Hogwarts were all later death eaters, that he dropped a tree branch on Petunia, .... he is a despicable human being 2y
JenlovesJT47 @thewallflower0707 yep!! I totally agree. I don't get it. I appreciate his role in the later books so I don't hate him, but I don't get how that other stuff can be overlooked either. 2y
JenlovesJT47 I think part of the appeal is that Alan Rickman was such a great actor and made him more appealing in some way. Otherwise it makes no sense. 2y
thewallflower0707 @JenlovesJT47 oh yes, Alan Rickman was born for this role. I still can‘t believe he died... two years ago! 2y
JenlovesJT47 I know!!! I can't believe two years have already flown by, that's crazy. He was awesome. 😭 2y
