Uni has just started and this is one of our assigned reads for English! I would normally never take much interest in a book like this but I loved it.

In just 91 pages of play script I became invested in, and came to care about the characters, and how the story progresses for them. I should read more books like this.

I've been so busy over the past week that I've barely had a chance to read!

But it's my birthday tomorrow, and my super sweet boyfriend got me the second book in the series, even though my family has practically installed a book ban on presents for me. 😂

I always love reading this series. I grew up reading them, and every so often I just fancy revisiting it, you know? These middle books are probably my favourites, books three, four, and five. So good!
Also the cat they use on the covers for Maruman looks like my cat 😂

This was honestly the most enthusiastic I've been about reading a new book for quite a while (not that I've put an enormous amount of effort in lately 😅) and I've finished it feeling excited for the next book in the series.

I've had real trouble starting new things for a while, I just can't seem to get past it, so I decided to force it and throw myself into a new book. I love it. I am flying through this book, I haven't even touched The Keeping Place since I picked this up (which is a bit sad 😅)
