This story follows the men of Easy Company, 506th regiment, 101st Airborne division of the US army from their training camp in Georgia, to England to the allied invasion of Normandy on D-day. Informative, detailing and action packed. Band of Brothers is a must read for any WWII geek or action seeking reader. Must read of the X-mas break!

Cfischbuch Would this be a good choice for our library? 5y
MrsBabki After reading this, I can‘t wait to read your first assignment for me! I already missed out on four months with you! I have to soak up the next six! 5y

#3
The locals in the Italian village where he lives call him Singor Farfalla(Mr. Butterfly)for he appears to be a discreet gentleman with a passion for the insect. But Farfalla‘s profession of moulding guns for assasians is less delicate. A thriller, and morality tale, the American will keep you on the edge of your seat

MissYaremcio Great review Tristan! The books sounds like a James Bond type of action! Is it? 5y
tristan.bissett Definitely, some differences in style of secret mission style plot but non the less still a great read 5y

The Map of Days by Ransom Riggs is fast paced adventure book following the story of Jacob and his peculiar friends after his mission to rid Europe of the age old enemy, the Hollowghast. Upon meeting a old partner of his grandfather‘s and a network of peculiar clans Jacob and his friends must stagger through rough neighbourhoods, unfriendly strangers, and stalking black SUVs.

Jager Sounds like a good book 5y
MissYaremcio Great review Tristan! I still haven't read any of the Miss Peregrine's series, but they sound like I could possibly enjoy them? I'm not a fan of scary things... Anyways, make sure for the next review that you include all elements of the assignment (you were missing the recommendation and the pacing)! 5y

In April 1943,Hitlers power began to affect everyone, including the unlikeliest man.
Dietrich Bonhoeffer was a scholar and a pacifist. But with the start of WWII threatening his friends and family Bonhoeffer must choose either his religion or the freedom of his fellow man.
If you like war, history and in depth topics this book is one to read. McCormick‘s research and understanding shines through the memoir of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, an unlikely hero.

MissYaremcio I really like the summary you gave of this book! One thing to note for the future; tone is not necessarily captured by research, tone is how this research is portrayed by the author. Great work! 5y
