Thoroughly enjoying this. Discovered Franklin through Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter. Loved it so I'm plowing through his catalog now.

Maybe my favorite novel ever. Wonderful characters. I get such pleasure from reading Russo. I love how he brings small towns alive.

Crime drama set in the Deep South. Loved it. Characters stuck with me long after I finished it. Franklin has become one of my favorite writers.

Not for the faint of heart, but if you like your Southern Gothic thick with violence and atmosphere, this one's for you. I, for one, liked it.
