pickAn action packed book with a reluctant hero. This is a Rick Riordan type story meets the legends of King Arthur & throw in a little James Bond spy thriller.
I loved that Alfred is not the big hero who finds some special power & starts winning everything. He‘s awkward & unsure & makes plenty of mistakes, but honorable to a fault. I‘m curious to see what he does in book 2.

So far I‘m enjoying the story. But this bugs me: every chapter that ends on the right page, then the next page is blank. But they‘re still counting that page for the page numbers. It‘s such a waste of space and it interrupts my reading flow.
Plus the huge amount of space at the bottom margin. This book could‘ve easily been resized a bit smaller and wasted less paper.
