Kings of Clonmel: Book Eight | John A. Flanagan
5 posts | 40 read | 3 to read
The international bestselling series with over 5 million copies sold in the U.S. alone! When a cult springs up in neighboring Clonmel, promising to quell the recent attacks by lawless marauders, people flock from all over to offer gold in exchange for protection. But Halt is all too familiar with this particular group, and he knows they have a less than charitable agenda. Secrets will be unveiled and battles fought to the death as Will and Horace help Halt in ridding the land of a dangerous enemy. Perfect for fans of J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings, T.H. White’s The Sword in the Stone, Christopher Paolini’s Eragon series, and George R. R. Martin’s Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire series. From the Trade Paperback edition.

Reading this after finishing a group read of the original 10 books of the Belgariad universe and the banter is similar. Horace is not as naive as he used to be and gives as good as he gets. Horace, Halt and Will are on mission. Well paced and the action is described well and believable.

Horace and Will tease Halt, who has always been a figure of authority in these books.

Pickpick

Another fun, exciting addition to the Ranger's Apprentice series. Halt, Horace, and Will are fantastic characters. They are the ones I'd want backing me in a battle. My July #doublespin @TheAromaofBooks (Yes, I will be starting the book below it....)

This will be my July #doublespin. I started this series a couple years ago when I was down with the "C" word. Over 6 days, I read the first 6. These are quick, fun reads but also engaging.

RosePressedPages This series was the series I read right after Harry Potter in middle school and quickly become a favorite 💕 2y
