May certainly knows how to write a thriller. Margaret is asked to return to China to autopsy 18 or more body parts found in mud. Li is put in charge of investigation, and their relationship is strained with the addition of his associate. Nothing links these bodies, and the twists are anxiety producing!
pick18 women are found in a mass grave in Shanghai. Li and Margaret end up investigating the case. Margret gets a nemesis who tries to get Li by any means. Brutal murders, nasty people, personal nightmares. This case is hitting a bit too close to home for our heroes. The book is heartbreaking in many ways, as well as great! Recommended!
