A difficult book to read and review.
K‘s story is heartbreaking and miserable, and I found myself both feeling sorry for him and being repulsed by him. This book was unsettling in that it made me think on just how lonely and insignificant this business of being a human can be.
Definitely a pick—the writing is excellent and the story is engaging, but reading this book made me feel profoundly alone and sad. I need a hug. 😔
