Change of reading plans. I just saw on Twitter that Shange passed away today so I‘m reading this in her memory. I‘ve had it unread on my shelves since college in the ::cough:: early 90s ::cough::. She‘s the author of the much better known For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Not Enuf.
pickI read this for an Africana Studies course. The title is the name of three sisters and the story is of them and their mother. I learned about Gullah culture which was totally new to me. #indigo #readingresolutions @Jess7
