Simply, this is a heavier cozy, filled with serious and somber subject matter. I never quite warmed to Lucky, the MC, whose sleuthing at times went beyond the usual cozy formula. Yet, the soup descriptions sound amazing, and the recipes in the back look good. Overall, an okay read. I‘d read more in the series to see characters flesh out, but I‘m not in a hurry.

Started off slow and definitely has a different vibe from a lot of other cozies, but I really enjoyed reading this. I guess I just can't go wrong with a mystery set around a suffering soup-shop owner in the snowy mountains of Vermont! 🍵☃✨#ilovecozies #ialsolovesoup #literallyicouldeatsouptherestofmylife #soupisagloriousfoodgroup
Hanging out at the dentist office 😬 In other news, this book has started off so sad and miserable literally this is the saddest cozy I've read so far. And I'm on like chapter 3 😱😱😱 but it's about a soup shop so I'm definitely going to give it a chance bcz I love soup more than life itself. Have a cool day, everyone!! #ilovecozies #thisoneismakingmesosadtho
I thought this book was going to be awesome. the MC inherits her parents soup shop, amd has some incredible encounters as the story goes on. But... as the mystery unraveled the main character became so unbearable, PSYCHOTIC, I felt like shaking her and asking her what the hell are you f**king doing?! I was about to bail, but I persevered... This book was just a NO. 1/5 star rating.
