Looking for #recommendations. What are your favorite vegan cookbooks? I‘m vegetarian and my husband eats meat but not eggs and cheese, so we end up cooking a lot of vegan meals...but I have no vegan cookbooks. #vegan #cookbooks

AmyG Mark Bittman has a How to Cook Everything Vegetarian cookbook. Might have vegan in there. 6y
Tamra I suggest perusing Asian & Indian cookbooks, there are many vegetable based dishes and ones that can easily be adapted. (edited) 6y

Dogearedcopy We‘ve become fairly proficient at adapting recipes (i.e. ingredient substitution) owing to a number of health issues in our house and have also amassed quite a few special cookbooks. One that I recommend off the top of my head is ‘The Virgin Vegan‘ (by Linda Long)

Blaire @Dogearedcopy yes, we have too...many bitten and smitten kitchen recipes are easily adapted. Looking for something fresh - feel I‘ve started making the same 2 dozen or so recipes over and over. I‘ll check out virgin vegan. (edited) 6y

Had to fuel up at my neighborhood vegan diner after a morning of marching and crazy public transit!! Now I'm about to pop.... This is vegan Mac and cheese, and vegan tofu benedict over a kale burger and biscuit. Better get back to reading!!

8little_paws @Lucky_LaDee I hear ya. Public transit is madness today. I was dying of hunger so I went to support a fave local business on my way back home. I'm so full I'm not sure I can get off the couch lol 7y

GlitteryOtters Will do! Warning, though, my husband is a 6'4" Neanderthal with no table manners and has been known to lick his plate at really good vegan diners before (I try to rationally explain why one shouldn't do that, but he won't listen. ?) 7y
