Loved Jane‘s YouTube channel so much I had to buy this one. The photos are gorgeous and the food I‘ve prepared has been yummy. I appreciate how this book shares many individual recipes (hummus, sauces, dressings, pickled veggies) that I can combine in whatever way I like. They give several recipes for Build Your Own Bowl, but I‘m always modifying those because I have leftover veggies to mix in. I‘m looking at you 🥕and celery! ⬇️

DogMomIrene I haven‘t made any of their desserts, so this week I‘m tackling vanilla wafers, ginger snaps, and Outta Sight Brownies. I‘m trying to lower my sugar intake so I‘m hoping these satisfy my snack cravings without being too sweet🤞🏼 3w

This salad has you suprême your citrus & shave your fennel— so fancy! I can see myself making this for lunch this summer. It has to be pretty good to get me excited for salads & this delivers ?

I love the accessibility of the recipes, too— even the sectioned citrus comes with a how-to guide. It looks like good food cooked with fresh ingredients & a lot of attention to detail ❤️

I watch her channel sometimes. The food she makes looks so good. I‘m not even a vegan. I‘m a pescatarian.

The photo doesn't do the stew justice, but it was SO GOOD. I couldn't find fresh habañeros*, so I used a jalapeño and a few dashes of habañero hot sauce. Caribbean-Style Swiss Chard and Butternut Squash Stew from the tagged.

*About 20 years ago, I had a habañero plant in a container on the balcony of our apartment in North Carolina. It grew to about three feet tall and produced at least a hundred habañeros. And now I can't find one pepper. *sigh*

Tonight‘s comfort food: 🥔Baked Potato Soup

I may have gotten a little excited with the fake bacon bits🤷🏻‍♀️

This cookbook is great for whole foods plant-based comfort recipes. I need to explore more recipes in this one to see if I like her other meals.

Tamra Love it! 7mo
Ruthiella Yum 😋! That looks delicious. 7mo
AnishaInkspill this looks really good, one my fav things as a person who doesn't really cook is experiment, and yeah-well, what can I say 😂 😂 7mo
DogMomIrene @AnishaInkspill @Tamra @Ruthiella It‘s super yum. And since I still have leftover potatoes I‘ll be making more either Friday or Saturday😂 thank goodness it freezes well! 7mo

Fall Harvest Butter is pretty tasty. Husband liking his toast as well, which is great. Another option for sneaking good food into his gut😂

It‘s not as thick as I‘d like, but I didn‘t want to turn the slow cooker to high with the propped open lid to let more moisture evaporate.

Lesson Learned: Start prepping this one earlier in the morning so I have options to keep cooking without staying up too late. Problems when you‘re over 50🤣

Tamra Yum! 😋 7mo
