I loved this short story!!! It clearly showed the wedding scene that wasn't in the second book. I rated this book a 5 out of 5 stars.

I don't know why I love this quote so much, but there you have it! I do feel it really sums up Holmes and Mary's relationship beautifully. I also love all the little moments of intimacy between them.

Finally reading the Mary Russell short story collection to round off my complete re-read of the series.

Needed a quick introduction to get back into the series! I enjoy the tone of the Mary Russell/Sherlock Holmes books. They remind me of more classic British Detective fiction (ie DL Sayers/A Christie) where the author doesn‘t just outright say what he/she means; the meaning is implied.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for this quick little story!

Short kindle ebook. Laurie King never ceases to amaze me with her writing. Found my self laughing out loud through out. Russell is my favorite female character. I have read and re-read this series at least 6 times and find something new each time.
