I'm about to pack this up and ship it off to @sedeara - yay! 🦄🦄🦄
Today's #bookhaul from my trip to the used bookstore. I noticed they have Book Sox now, so I got two of those. (But I might be back for more!) The "Immortal Unicorn" is for @sedeara since I already have a copy. There was so many awesome old mass market paperbacks in their sci-fi room today, I wanted to dig around in those boxes and shelves all day.
Overall, this was a great collection of short stories involving all incarnations of the unicorn myth. I enjoyed more stories than I skipped, which is a bonus. I've also thought about exploring new authors that I'd not heard of before. My favorite stories were What the Eye Sees, What the Heart Feels and The Devil on Myrtle Ave.
Waiting for my husband after his train was unexpectedly canceled, so why not get as much read as possible while sitting at the train station. Rugrats are coloring, I'm reading...now if I wasn't frazzled about being late for the PTA meeting tonight...lol
Read a story in here that really cut me to the quick...it's funny how some short stories can haunt you so completely...
That's 4 books that aren't on @Litsy!!! Lol, since Jonathan Strange is so large, it didn't really fit in the bag with the kids' swimming stuff so I grabbed this book of short stories, curated by #PeterBeagle that are about the unicorn. Not necessarily HIS Unicorn, but the lore is compelling and the various versions of the myth are addressed. **UPDATE: was able to tag the book...lol
