I really enjoyed this #nonfiction #graphicnovel. The art is reminiscent of early animated toons, and the information is well-organized. While the information and resources shared may seem basic to older readers, the main audience is meant to be those in their late teens and early twenties living on their own for the first time. With this in mind, I think it does a great job of giving new adults the basic information they need to go forward.
Although I found the character of Mil aggravating, and some of the concepts repetitive, this is a fantastic little comic book about how to be financially responsible. I think it's a must read for young people on the cusp of independence. It also explains what all those symbols mean on laundry tags, and common cooking terms. There's a chapter by chapter list of resources at the back of the book, which was very helpful. 👍
"Now in armpit flavor." ??? This book is slightly over the top at times, but it really packs in everything a college student/high school graduate needs to know about adulting! It should be called "Adulting 101" but the author was smart and called it Poorcraft. Definitely check out this graphic novel on all you need to know about living frugally and practically! I'm learning stuff already and I thought I had this down. Who am I kidding though ?
