It took me longer to get through this graphic memoir than I expected. It was a bit dense and covered a hundred year era! Very enlightening; shed light on Jewish life during several "revolutions." #20booksofsummer 20/20 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Now that is an asset worth considering...
A great memoir where the author overlays her struggle to find an identity as a young emigrant to the US with her grandmother's incredible experiences growing up in WWII-era Soviet Russia. The sections about her grandmother are well-drawn and organized, making use of the matriarch's own writings to full advantage.
I have a bit of a sweet tooth, so chocolate tends to be my reading snack. Here is my current duo 👌🏼 #bookandyourfavesnack #readjanuary
