I never thought I would enjoy a gangster romance but Nico is so hot! Watching him and Mia interact with each other was very entertainining. I can't wait for the last book in the trilogy: "Rocco". I bet this book will be another great one!

I love Sarah Castille's style of writing as it always seems to grab me and keep me reading. I don't typically enjoy Mob stories but the dichotomy between old school mobster Nico Toscani and mob princess turned Punk Rock Hacker Mia Cordano was phenomenal. The offspring of two feuding Vegas families have chemistry and respect and it continues from start to finish.
“There‘s nothing as sexy as a woman with a weapon.” He gave her a slow, sensual smile.
Mia snorted a laugh. “I think sex was the last thing on your mind when I had my knife between your legs.”
The deep rumble of Nico‘s voice vibrated through her body. “Sex was all I was thinking about.”
I'm bailing on this one. Neither the characters nor the story are catching my attention. Nothing awful in the 80 pages I read, but nothing making me want to read more either.
Finished my alien romance (❤️'d it). Now trying another mafia romance.

Nico by Sarah Castille is book one in her new mafia series, Ruin & Revenge. Filled w/ drama, action, & suspense this sexy romance had everything. My fave character was Mia w/ her punk rock & confident attitude. She loves her family (except her father) & will risk her HEA to ensure they're safe. I also liked Big Joe, support role, but he had depth & hard choices.
(Received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.)
Your enjoyment of this book will depend on how well you can suspend your disbelieve and embrace the craziness of this mafia romance. Double-crossing, an over-the-too villain, and a rushed Vegas wedding are just some of the insanity in Nico.
It took a while to get into; the first half is a bit corny and slow. The pace definitely picks up during the second half.
Trigger warning for violent against women and children. ⭐️⭐️⭐️(3 stars)
