Princess Jellyfish 3
Princess Jellyfish 3 | Akiko Higashimura
8 posts | 15 read | 6 to read
Tsukimi Kurashita has a strange fascination with jellyfish. She's loved them from a young age and has carried that love with her to her new life in the big city of Tokyo. There, she resides in Amamizukan, a safe-haven for girl geeks who regularly gush over a range of things from trains to Japanese dolls. However, a chance meeting at a pet shop has Tsukimi crossing paths with one of the things that the residents of Amamizukan have been desperately trying to avoid - a fashionable socialite!

Sometimes you find a character that‘s so quiet they disappear. A handful of pages ago, I thought to myself “hm I wonder where Jiji is. Did she get left at home?” when I finally spotted her because she had a line, I flipped back through and she‘s been present for over 70 pages without me noticing! Anyone else have that happen before?

Yet another fun volume. I love that Tsukimi got the opportunity to design more dresses, and I'd love to see her brand become huge, but I'm not sure this hasty, rushed job is the way to go. It doesn't seem likely that they'll be able to save the building anyways, but at least they are trying.

This series has definitely become a comfort-read for me right now, and I'm trying my best to at least space them out between my other books.

The Amar's continue their hijinxs in an effort to save their home, but this time it looks like they might actually have a chance. Much of the volume is taken up with preparation for the modelling of the new Jellyfish dresses and it's more of the same fantastic fun. This series continues to be adorable, with even the side characters given time to get in on the goofs.

I read another chapter of PRINCESS JELLYFISH over breakfast. This manga follows a group of otaku women who live in an all-female commune and the gender-nonconforming boy they befriend. #allthesingleladies #junebookbugs #bookandbreakfast

A series that never disappoints. Just not sure if it got me out of a slump.

LauraBrook I only have the first volume (from Landfall Freight, RIP😢), and I'm glad to know there are more out there and available. (Though of course I haven't read V1 yet!) 7y

This week's library haul includes two more volumes of PRINCESS JELLYFISH, a couple of things for my #canada150 reading project, and some stuff to help me further explore the DC Universe. I'm especially excited about THE LONGBOW HUNTERS because I'm 2/2 with Green Arrow comics being awesome and someone told me this one fits that pattern.

TobeyTheScavengerMonk They were correct. Mike Grell rules. 7y
