Writing and Difference | Jacques Derrida

If the anguish of writing is not and must not be a determined pathos, it is because this anguish is not an empirical modification or state of the writer, but is there responsible of angustia: the necessarily restricted passageway of speech against which all possible meanings push each other, preventing each other's emergence.

@JulietteGF found this while tiding up! Do you think the French level in this book might be too high for me? 😅

Adventures-of-a-French-Reader I have no idea... 6y
tpixie Well I can read all but the noun! ? Writing. I‘ll have to look up! 6y
tpixie Yay! I was right!! French can get really hard if they use the ( whatever the name is) formal writing verb tense! Also, I wish when people spoke French, I could see the captions below what they were saying because I‘m so much better of a visual learner than an auditory learner! 6y
Faibka @tpixie good work Teri! Do you know some French? It is also more difficult for me when I listen to it than when I read it because a lot of the words are not pronounced but it is such a beautiful language I‘m really trying to learn it :) 6y
tpixie @Faibka I took french from middle school thru college. I used to be able to think and dream it, but with lack of using it I‘ve lost so much! Wish I would‘ve been brave enough to travel overseas when I was younger! I‘ve played around with Duolingo app and YouTube videos. But need to get more diligent about it. 6y
