For Janie and Cabel, real life is getting tougher than the dreams. Disturbing things are happening at Fieldridge High, yet nobody's talking. When Janie taps into a classmate's violent nightmares, the case finally breaks open - but nothing goes as planned. Not even close. Janie's in way over her head, and Cabe's shocking behaviour has grave consequences for them both. And if that isn't bad enough, Janie has discovered Martha Stubin's journals, and what she learns through them chills her to the bone. For not only is her fate as a Dream Catcher sealed, but what's to come is so much darker than she'd ever feared... It seems that some nightmares never end

The story continues from Wake. Same cast of characters, with a few more teachers mixed in. The school drama continues, but there is definitely ⚠️ for predatory behavior (vague to not give the plot away). I am thankful I had a couple of hours, because I literally read it that fast. Sucks you in, and you just hold on! #recentlyread #nospoilers #dreams #onesittingread #imagination #school #drama 😳

All I remember about this book is that the love interest's name is Cabel. And I thought that was such a cool name. Until I said it out loud. And realized it sounded like cable. Like cable TV. #TBTReads

LibrarianRyan 😁😁. I enjoyed this series. It kind of staged for how small the books were but it was an interesting concept. 6y

"And then she begins to fade away."
-FADE pg 229

FADE by Lisa McMann is the second book in the Wake trilogy (a.k.a The Dream Catcher Series). I enjoyed this book so much. I was hooked and there wasn't a moment when I felt bored or disinterested. I felt a connection to Janie in some aspects and found myself fully invested in every event of the book. There wasn't a dull moment for me. I'm so excited to read the final book 'GONE'. ?

"From the backseat, the growl, the man, his hands gripping Stacey's neck."

I would love to have a reading buddy where we can also share out interruption of the dreams. In this trilogy, it's important because of the overall case. If anyone is interested in reading it with me later in the future I wouldn't mind rereading it and going over the meanings. Starting now I'm going to make my notes about the dreams.

The main characters are adorable!
Note for the case: Chem + DR = hard shit going down.
Also, I'm noticing the physical symptoms and fear for Janie.
