Right book at the right time. Op shop find. Could not believe it. The illustrations are delightful and the words wonderful. For all people and all ages. Not just the kids. ❤️❤️

Possibly the sweetest book I‘ve ever read as an adult. 😍

Reggie Boop- stacked-need some sweet in my life after the last book I read. 3w
Posh_Salad Just realized the photo cuts off the title. 🤦🏾‍♀️ 2w

I‘m not sure I entirely agree with this assessment, but this is where we are. Blue was also strong.

Red reader - the Passionate Adventurer

Jari-chan I got my favourite colour - purple 💜 and it really fits! 1mo
TheLudicReader Thanks for taking part! 1mo
Ruthiella I think red might be the thriller/mystery element. But for sure, there‘s a lot more that goes into why we read what we read. (edited) 1mo

5feet.of.fury I really thought I would get red 😂 I was explaining to a friend (who I otherwise have alot of overlap with for reading preferences) that I can‘t read cozies. High stakes or nothing. But I got orange 1mo
Susanita @Ruthiella I think that‘s definitely part of it. @5feet.of.fury I don‘t mind cozies but can‘t read them all the time. 1mo

I really wanted to love this. I do love the term hagitude and I am finally embracing my cronehood. But there was too much psychology and not enough mythology for me. And then the author states that there should be gathering places for women who were born as women, basically saying that it's OK to exclude trans folx in certain cases. So yeah, not great. We don't all need the exact same experience to relate.

Soscha Wowed the cover though. 1mo
PirateJenny @Soscha yeah it's a great cover and I love the chapter opener illustrations. 1mo

Finally finished the short stories of the Locke family. Definitely a prequel and such wonderful artwork and very happy with the Sandman crossover story.

Yesterday my youngest participated in the school district‘s social studies & science fair. As soon as she saw the brochure she said she wanted to do it (so huge for a kid with lots of anxiety). She said she wanted to do her presentation on Mae Jemison. She‘s worked hard for the last few weeks. She was interviewed by teachers & high school students. One of the teachers thanked her for highlighting such an important person in history. When asked why

ncsufoxes she chose this person she said, “she‘s my idol, I want to be an engineer & astronaut just like her.” She was the only 3rd grader from her school to participate too. 1mo
AmyG Fabulous! May her dream come true. Girls in stem rock!!! 1mo
