3 posts | 10 read | 2 to read
The Carolina Cold Furys hot new star shows his bad-boy teammates that even nice guys can score big in this steamy hockey romance from the bestselling author of Ryker and Hawke (Sexy, emotional, and fantastic! Sandi Lynn). The ice is a cold mistress. As the leagues most eligible goalie, Max Fournier has access to his fair share of willing puck bunnies, but right now hes more interested in bringing home another championship than a one-night stand. A romantic at heart, Max believes in love; hes just not great at relationships. So when he finally meets a nice girl whos not blinded by his celebrity, hes feeling the heatand the pressure to save her from herself. Between working two jobs and raising her sisters kids, Julianne Bradley doesnt have time for sportsor men. All she knows about Max is that hes the sexiest customer to ever grace her gas-station counter. And he sees past her tired eyes and makes Jules yearn for things she cant have: a glamorous fling, a passionate lover, and the time to enjoy both. Max makes her feel like Cinderella, even though Jules has enough baggage to crush a glass slipper. Luckily, hes no princeonly a fierce competitor determined to win her heart. Another solid book from the Cold Fury Hockey world! Who doesn't love a guy with a French accent?

I'm about halfway done this series. They're good light reading since I seem to be reading The Magicians quite slowly.

The letter M for #LitsyAtoZ.

Not the best Cold Fury Hockey novel - I skimmed through most of it.

Jules is trying to keep her sanity while taking care of her sister 3 kids after she passes away from cancer. Max meets her at one of her jobs and is instantly attracted. I liked getting to see more of the other characters in this sweet hockey romance. The only thing I didn't like was the parts with the kids deadbeat father. It seemed pointless in the story line and unnecessary drama. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
