Mehso-so

I‘m sorry to say this novel was a so-so for me. Trigger warning for rape. I really did not like how Rex, the male lead treated Catherine, the female character. He did not pay any attention to her repeated answers of NO. I was very irked! I have enjoyed her more recent books. Than goodness I borrowed this one from Cloud Library.

Centique Youch - I‘ll avoid that one! She seems to be a hit or miss author for me too. 6y
Dragon Thanks @Centique I think I prefer her newer books. 👍🐉 6y

Pickpick

This is one of the couple in this series that was out of print and is now available. I love reading Mary Balogh. I love the melancholy and the slow build and she is one of the few that I can say that about. I read this one fast over the weekend and it did not disappoint.

At 69% and loving it. Already sad that I'm over halfway through. So far this is a melancholy, frustrating, achingly beautiful book about two very difficult people. Although i will say that the H deserves every bit of difficulty he gets at this point. I hope he gives me cause to root for him soon.
