I think I would use his book in my classroom, because it makes many comparisons of different kinds between different animals. It also helps students learn how to use numbers and how they are relevant to each other.
Bees kill 20 times as many people as sharks.

the pictures and other data examples hypes well with the written aspect of the story. It is an excellent book for science and math.
This book discussed everything from the number of species to what those species/animals typically weight and everything in between. It includes interesting facts, graphs, and colorful pages.
So far, well over a million species have been named. Thousands of new species are discovered each year, and there are probably millions more yet to be found.
This book would a be perfect fit in an early childhood room. If you had to read this book to a class, you could show the infographic that goes with the fact to let the children truly imagine the depth of information being presented.
This book is a very great visual for people to conceptualize animals in the world. Many of the facts in this book are incredibly interesting and can be visualized by the infographics presented. Anyone could enjoy this book because of the aesthetic colors and the informative facts.

I liked this book a lot. I feel like this would be a great addition to a classroom because the structure of the book is so different. there are many ways of learning and this would be a great change of structure for children who learn by numbers
Animals by the Numbers would be a great story for when we discuss animal facts and nature. The students would really enjoy this book and it‘s illustrations.
Animals by the Numbers was written by Steve Jenkins in 2016. This nonfiction story tells about many different animals and unique facts about them. The children can definitely learn a lot from this story and I really enjoyed the photos as well!
I like how this book incorporates math, science, and history in one book!
A book all about numbers and how important they are to animals. Without numbers, we wouldn‘t have the ability to understand the things animals can do. This book is filled with straight up facts about all animals and illustrations that help us understand the facts. Genre: Nonfiction; Published: 2016; Illustrator: Steve Jenkins

It‘s difficult to tell if a worm or other simple animal is sleeping but we do know that all mammals and most reptiles sleep, and possibly dream
i like all the graphs and pie charts
this book gives a lot of facts and has a lot of illustrations that could be interesting for children. The labels and captions are really organized
Loads of really interesting graphs and charts about animals. So well done it gets kids really thinking about information and how to use information. (Ex. What animal jumps the farthest distance vs. which animal jumps the most body lengths) My 7 and 12yo were rapt the whole way through. I need this for my home library.
