Apparently I forgot to post my review when I finished this.
This series is like watching a middle grade Victorian themed soap opera in the best way. We get more plot twists and a little info about where the Incorrigibles lived before Ashton place but the mysteries are still piling up and Miss Lumley is left with more questions than answers again.

#BookReport
Managed to finish two books this week but only got about six chapters into Station Eleven.

#WeeklyForecast
Goal this week is to focus on Station Eleven and other challenge commitments before diving back into more Incorrigible Children.

Mehso-so

Book 3 of the Incorrigible Children series...another so-so. I like the witty comments made by the narrator throughout. It seems like so many situations were packed into this book, with very little solving of any of the issues.

I‘m taking a brief break before jumping into book four. This is part of the #CoverChangeMidSeries prompt for #BBRC #MiddleGrade

mabell Are you reading the whole series because you would like to? Or we are supposed to read the whole series for the #BBRC prompt? In that case, I‘ll be looking for a short series 🤣 4y
Librarybelle @mabell I gave myself the extra challenge to read the whole series. I‘m halfway through the series! No...we don‘t have to read the whole series 4y
mabell @Librarybelle Ah ok. I thought (hoped!) that was the case. 😄 I was looking at how many prompts I have left ... June 30 seems awfully soon all of a sudden! 4y
Librarybelle @mabell I know what you mean! 😂 4y

This third installment in the Incorrigible Children series was a great choice to balance out some heavier reading this week. Birdwatching, an expedition into the forest to find an escaped ostrich, and a midnight seance—plus the usual antics and hilarious digressions = great fun with the Incorrigibles! Now if the next book would just provide some answers to the underlying mystery...

Modern fantasy, 2012. This is the third book of this series. 3 children and their governess, Miss Penelope, are very busy. Mystery about how Penelope was left by her parents. Penelope is worried about the hunt of a runaway ostrich. Chapters have titles that foreshadow what the chapter is going to be about.

I love how bold the children are in this volume! And the new hints at the mystery (which are more like a million more questions).

Why do all the holds have to come in at once? I'm trying, I really am! I have 3 more coming up soon. All of them, except The Unseen Guest, have long lines I don't want to have to get back in. Guess this is a good time to pick up some embroidery projects I've left unfinished so I can get some hours in during the day.

I'm helping out at an event on our local Rail Trail. But during those times when nobody is walking by, this is how I'm spending my day!

CaitZ That's a beautiful place to be reading 7y
