This was good-a blast from my past: final days of evacuation from Saigon amid sniper fire, bombs, and tanks. Heartbreaking and a waste of human life.

I watched this war unfold on TV during the 1960's while in high school. Not counting this book, I've read 25 books in January 2017. I could read more, but somehow a JOB kind of cuts down on reading time....😉

#TBRtemptation post! Here's another that just came out 😁👏🏻! This is a novelization of Saigon's 1975 fall to North Vietnam. US forces withdrew 2 years prior. Told from various perspectives: a former GI looking for his Vietnamese wife's relatives; a Vietnamese-American tv reporter; a US businessman trying to rescue his employees; the last US diplomatic personnel. The NV forces are led by 2 men: one restrained; one not. #blameLitsy #blameMrBook 😎
