One of my favorite literary characters is the Expanse's Chrisjen Avasarala. I feel like she prefers her camping like I do, with room service and air conditioning.

I've been struggling to find a book that speaks to me lately, so I decided to go back to my favorite series. I listened to books one through six of The Expanse while finishing up this #audiostitching project that I've been working on in spurts for about 16 months. I finally finished it today.
I think I may be over the book blahs so I'm going to try to move on to The Star-Crossed Sisters of Tuscany tomorrow.
The books I got for Christmas, can't wait to get to them.
Happy New Year!
After watching all the crazy snow business in the Midwest, we're finally getting some action out here in the #pnw. Unfortunately, we're embarrassing ourselves with the panic. My family works retail at a grocery chain and...yeah, it's pretty bad.
But I went ahead and stocked up on some ebooks, just in case. 😜
Hooray for Amazon! 😍
This series is one is my favorites. Period. It‘s a space opera with Game of Thrones level class warfare and political intrigue offset with dynamic characters (including some of the best written female characters I‘ve ever read). It balances the kitschy (aliens!) with masterful discourse about what colonizing galaxies *really* looks like. The stars may actually be better off without us.
Waiting for season 2 of The Expanse and The Magicians to air fully so I can binge watch them. That and the new season of Line of Duty. Any good TV recommendations?!
The Expanse rules! Right now at the season two premiere with creator and show runner Hawk Ostby. Season two begins tomorrow night on SyFy Channel. Tune in Tuesday. I love this show!
