A bit disappointed of the reveal at the end, never been a fan of endings where criminal(s) think they are alone and confess in a public place, and all is spilled out: the crime, where the weapon is and so on, but still a very good mystery. I liked the characters a lot, they will stay with me for a while. And the setting is awesome, makes me want to visit those places.

I love Jemisin's writing and when found this short story in the Forward series free with Prime Reading I couldn't resist. Awesome as all she writes!

Leviathan Wakes | James S. A. Corey

Just finished Leviathan Wakes, the first book in the Expanse series: I really loved it. A great story with excellent characters, so nicely done that as soon as I finished the book I started missing Miller, Holden, and his crew. Looking forward to the next in the series.

Faceless Killers | Henning Mankell

This is the actual first book in the Wallander series - I just finished it and it is a great start for this series; I'm looking forward to next one. But in the meantime, I will make a detour to first Harry Hole book: The Bat by Jo Nesbo.

After watching a few episodes of the TV series (both Swedish and British) finally got to read my first Wallander book. Started with this one which is supposed to be book 0 (stories happening before the first book in the series) or 9th published book. I loved all the stories. As the cover blurb from Times Literary Supplement says “they are surprising, small masterpieces“. Soon I'll start the actual first book in the series, Faceless Killers.

My TBR pile is huge but can't resist a used books sale at the library.

Curiouser_and_curiouser Me too!! My recent haul was 65 books from the local op shop where there was a sale on. 3 for $1! Irresistible 😄 3w

Just finished this first book in the Commissario Brunetti series. It's been recommended to me because I like a lot Andrea Camilleri's Montalbano novels. I felt it started a bit too slow for my taste but the second half picked up and I ended up liking it a lot. Got some more books in the series coming my way from online trades, I'll start next one soon (after finishing my current Wallander read).

Not as amazing as the first book in the series but still great. Looking forward to the last book in the series, The Stone Sky.

Make Me | Lee Child

Didn't like it as much as others in the series but a good read nonetheless, as always the case with Reacher stories.

The Dragon's Path | Daniel Abraham

Liked it a lot, great writing.

I love the Expanse series and had no idea that James S. A. Corey is the pen name used by Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck - one more reason to read Leviathan Wakes next.
