As I often do when I'm in a reading funk, I trolled Kindle for some 🔥 novellas and this one delivered. A growly, closed-off hero meets our bubbly, over-worked heroine and he just wants to take care of all of her needs. I don't usually post about my novella reads but the writing on this one was too good not to share. My only complaint is with the short time frame. Tagged under another Bardan I own and am now very eager to read. #romantsy

YES! This book was great, took some serious twists that I never saw coming (it definitely does NOT adhere to the usual romance MO). If you're jonesing for a darker (but still sexy) romance that messes with your mind a bit, this'll do it for you!! #romantsy

On another note: I HATE the cover, it does this book no justice.

I stayed up way too late last night to read this book. It is twisty and brilliantly written. I liked Sarah even though I didn't completely trust her perspective. We only get glimpses of Julius' perspective and I liked being inside his head. Sexy as hell. Loved, loved, loved this book. #romantsy

I bailed on my last read. Couldn't stand the characters. Now trying this one. Smart Bitches Trashy Books gave it a great review today. They call it a "delicious mind fuck". Sounds right up my alley. #romantsy #currentlyreading
