This is an absolutely delightful picture book told in breathtaking full scale photographs of nature in winter. Paired with a lyrical pace of a few rhyming words per page and this is a delight that will sure to enrapture children both very young and even in school.

Vegetable Pad Thai with this lovely. Thank you, @EchoLogical for first posting this lovely book. Finally picked it up at library today! It snowed within an hour of picking up the book. Lol. “Sometimes snow falls in tiny single flakes, and sometimes it is heavy and compacted. Air temperature and humidity affect the size and texture of the flakes.” I really enjoyed this picture book!

EchoLogical Glad you liked it. I'll have to found out who the photographer is. 6y
EchoLogical Also, that looks delicious! 6y
JanuarieTimewalker13 @Echological Thanks!!! I also requested one of the book of poems about snow that she mentions! (edited) 6y
JanuarieTimewalker13 @EchoLogical wonder if the photographer is the author or Andrea Welch...can‘t find where it says it! (edited) 6y

Pulling double duty today. #CatchUp for yesterday's #redandgreen prompt by sharing a picture of the Christmas tree I helped assemble yesterday morning. The tagged book is one of the books I read to my littles in lapsit today. It has gorgeous pictures inside and #snowoncover. The babies particularly liked the squirrel and deer inside.

JanuarieTimewalker13 I just requested it from my library! I‘m sufficiently intrigued! 6y
EchoLogical @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I think it looks super old and dated but my library hasn't sprung for new decorations in years so... 😅 6y

Snowflakes land on a squirrel's nose.

I love squirrels! This picture book made me think of Michigan winters--a far cry from Georgia winters!

Suzze Except a Michigan winter day like today. It's 64. 7y
faelinwolf @Suzze Ahhhh...global warming! It lets Michigan & Georgia share winter weather in mid-February. :( I think it may be warmer there today than it is here! 7y
Suzze @faelinwolf My son is in Vegas. 54. 7y
