A lot of people may think that a human was the first living thing in space, but it was actually animals. Dozens of animals, including insects, travelled into space before humans did. Scientists sent them up there to see the effects of space on a body. However these studies did stop, scientists no longer send animal astronauts up into space.

Part of my Barnes and Noble book haul from Thursday. I figure it's a lot cheaper than the National Geographic subscription I had that I hardly read. It will help a lot with Jeopardy too, lol. I got a year of Oprah and Woman's Day for $5 each today though. It contributed to my credit card debt but that's a dern good deal!! Here's my 18 year old cat Nikie 😻#catsoflitsy #petsoflitsy 🌎🌞🌓
