For me this was a solid read. It is about a true set of crimes that have never been solved. The Axeman has shown up in some popular shows such as AHS Coven as a strong secondary character. Whether a Hollywood take or from a historical crime POV this will appeal to fans of true crime novels. #TeamMonsterMash #Scarathlon #bookspin @StayCurious @TheAromaofBooks
This book had some interesting parts involving the history of the notorious axeman who killed several people over many years in New Orleans. Sadly though, it didn't hold my attention throughout. Some sections were strong, others felt like they needed more research to fully flush out the story.
Just finished this #audiobook on my walk to the bookstore. It was only OK for me. Lots of details but kinda boring. Maybe because I was somewhat familiar with the tale of the axe man, or maybe it just wasn‘t great as an audio. Dunno 🤷🏻♀️ I finished it but won‘t remember any of those many details.
Started off my #LitsyAtoZ with this one that I checked out from the library in December and never got around to reading last year.
I have been fascinated with this case ever since it was brought up in American Horror Story and thought this book was really well written and researched. It bounced around a little bit in ways that didn‘t totally make sense to me but overall I enjoyed it.
I've been waiting for this, & picked it up today!!!!
