So, the cover is cute and the blurb makes one think that a nice, lighthearted rom-com lies between the pages. For a short while, it was that, but things got a bit dark and angry. And I did want to throttle both MCs. Not bad, just not what I was expecting! #holidayread #wintergames #team nutcracker 21pts

The blurb to this book sounded intriguing...but it turns out this is not at all a lighthearted & cozy Christmas read as I expected. There was a lot of angst & anger & not much of a Christmas theme at all. I thought the characters were both fairly irritating & their actions & the overall story didn't seem at all believable at all. Although it wasn't entirely unbearable to read, I'm still going to have to pan it because of the reasons stated.

I hope everyone is having a splendid Sunday! Going to try to finish this book sometime today...I'm not sure if I'm really feeling it or not (I'm at chapter 4).
