I love her books for their representation; this has both characters of color and folks falling in love in their 50s — both of which I am here for. Unfortunately I spent most of the day reading in a chair at the mechanics instead of my recliner — but it was good enough to keep me from stewing on that fact. 😂

pickA Christmas-y WWII short story from Rhys Bowen. I quite enjoyed this. Read in one sitting. A down on their luck husband and wife duo have to evacuate on Christmas Eve due to a bombing on their street. I won't give away what happens next, bc I enjoyed the adventure better not knowing what was coming.

In addition to the currents reads I mentioned in my #BookReport, I‘m hoping to finish these books this week: a mix of some for review, a few more books for #Booked2019 and #20BooksBy2020, and of course, plenty of #HolidayRead stories for #WinterGames #MerryReaders.
However, I‘ll be cramming for finals this week, so I don‘t anticipate a whole lot of reading, sadly.
pickI really enjoyed this one, a solid 4 stars, until the ending. It‘s a romance so I know what I‘m getting, but I could have done without the thing that happens that made Rafe realize his love. Just my personal feelings of course. Cute Christmasy read.
