Pickpick

I really enjoyed this first book in the series. A historical fantasy with strong world building and an interesting concept. It selves down into issues of consent, abuse and equality. However, I started the second book and looked into the rest of the series and I don‘t know if I can continue. It seems to be one of those series where more and worse horrible things happen to the heroine and it might just be too much for me.
