#HauntsAndHexes Day 26: This #BlackCvr #BlackCover illustrated version of Kafka‘s Metamorphosis is a rare find while book hunting at Half Price Books in the Bay Area over the summer. Cannot wait to go back in a little over a month‘s time to spend our December holiday in California with family.
pickI especially enjoyed the two title stories in this collection. Metamorphosis is probably the weirdest story I‘ve ever read. In the Penal Colony was a bit crazy, and both pretty dark. I liked the Country Doctor, and also REALLY enjoyed the Foreword by Ann Rice. It was a great intro and loved how she explained her inspirations from Kafka.

so-soInteresting stories. Not usually something I enjoy. The stories seemed to cruel for me to understand.
so-soVariable collection of the fiction Kafka published during his lifetime. Some weird, some just "huh"? Actually the best was a piece of travel writing. Who knew people drove by car to an airshow in 1909?
Who has read this? I am reading it now for the first time. So far I am really enjoying it.
