Summary: A young dog named Chester wants to follow in his mother's footsteps to become a service dog, but he fails the his certification test because he is afraid of loud noises, and he becomes worried that he won't be able to become what he wants to be.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An endearing middle grade read told from the perspective of a chocolate lab named Chester. He wants nothing more than to be a service dog and find his person. Unfortunately Chester fails his certification but then he meets Gus and he finds his purpose. I fell in love with Chester and so will you.
pickGREAT middle grade story - told by the dog - about a dog who can't get certified as a service dog but finds an autistic boy who needs him. The subplot with Chester's trainer is a little odd but the Chester and Gus parts are fantastic.
