Former forensics expert and current Toulouse professor Enzo Macleod is forced to take a break from his personal and professional pursuits when he is diagnosed with a terminal illness. Worse, though, it seems he has become the victim of someone who is trying to destroy his life--by ruining his credit, threatening him and his family, and finally framing him for murder. With no choice but to fight back, Macleod stashes his family in a safe house and sets to work. Increasingly convinced that the cold case he's investigating is connected to his persecution, Macleod tries to connect the dots before it's too late to save his life and the lives of his loved ones . . .

Book 6/5 for #JoysOfJune @Andrew65
This series just keeps getting better and better. And I'm learning French terminology too! Enzo is in a race against time to find the killer of a murdered man from 10 years ago. And the killer is trying to destroy everything Enzo cherishes in the process. Lots of just in the nick of time moments in this story, heart stopping!

Crazeedi The one thing about Enzo is for someone who is so intelligent and can decipher clues, he is clueless when it comes to the details of normal living! Who doesn't charge their phone if a killer is after him etc. Hes definitely a flawed person, but I guess aren't we all 3y
TheSpineView Awesome! 👍📖 3y
Susanita @Crazeedi His characters often seem to have issues with cell phones! 3y
Crazeedi @Susanita really? Now that you say that I think you're right 🧡 3y

Now finished Stage 2 of #Whodunitathon.

We now know a Bright Young Thing was killer in Nature using a rope.

So onto Stage 3 and the investigation.

61 points for #TeamSlaughter for #Scarathlon2020, and will be added to for other readathons.

Clwojick You‘re crushing the #WhoDunitathon! I flew through stage 2 and 3 once I actually planned my reading and matched to the prompts. I‘m on stage 4 now, and then I‘ll restart 😜 4y
Andrew65 @Clwojick I‘m going to use a few categories for stage 3, a few witnesses, clues etc. It says you can do this. 4y

Another wonderful book from Peter May, he can really do no wrong! One of my favourite authors, although this was one of his earlier books. I strongly recommend his books, also make good audiobooks.

Book 5 finished for #Scarathlon2020 16 points

#TeamSlaughter

Clwojick Another author I‘ve never heard from! You always have the best “new to me” recommendations! 4y
Andrew65 @Clwojick Thanks, I think it is because I recommend a lot of British Authors that many may not know about. I would recommend starting with his Lewis Trilogy. The thirds book had one of the biggest shocks I have ‘felt‘ in a book. Left me reeling, but whole trilogy excellent. 4y
Andrew65 @Clwojick For a standalone I‘d recommend 4y

Somewhat far fetched but light and entertaining nonetheless. Another enjoyable thriller by Peter May.
