This has been fun so far. It seems like an apocalypse is happening and it‘s showing how it began and how the gang all met each other. So far Shaggy (and obviously Scoob) are my favorite.

This is ridiculous and fun. Not loving Velma, but I think that‘s the point and Scrappy is a bad dog!

Battledoll I had to skip this one. It was very fun and well written! But Scrappy was too bad! 😆 5y

I want sure about this mash up of Scooby Doo and real monsters, but it was surprisingly better than I expected. Different from the old cartoons, but still keeping some endearing traits. Who doesn't want to here Shaggy say Zoinks, Velma say Jinkies and Daphne (who's a total badass instead of Danger Prone Daphne) say Jeepers? I want to see where this mystery goes. 4 💥💥💥💥 out of 5

Andrew65 An interesting choice. 6y
BeansPage Very interesting choice. Glad you liked it! 😁 6y
RamsFan1963 @Andrew65 I wasn't sure I'd like it, especially since I recently read Meddling Kids, which was kind of the same thing. I thought the story was clever, with call backs to the cartoons, and the mystery of the monster apocalypse was interesting enough that I'd like to read future volumes. 6y

TheBookgeekFrau But did Scooby get a Scooby snack?!! 6y
LibrarianRyan I loved this. I want the rest of the series so bad. 6y
RamsFan1963 @LibrarianRyan I was disappointed to read that DC has decided to cancel the outgoing series. I hope the creators are given time to give the fans a satisfying ending and not leave us hanging with a cliffhanger. 6y
LibrarianRyan @RamsFan1963 so do I. They did a bunch of updated characters. I couldn‘t finish the Flintstones. Haven‘t tried the jetsons yet. Some were okay and others just flat out sucked. 6y
RamsFan1963 @LibrarianRyan The Flintstones was okay but I didn't get past the first issue of The Jetsons. The weirdest one had to be the post-apocalyptic Mad Max version of Wacky Racers. 6y
LibrarianRyan @RamsFan1963 I haven‘t seen that one yet. I‘ll have to look. 6y

So i thought this would be a getting the band back together story with horror bits (like Meddling Kids) but it's actually an apocalyptic origin story. I always had a crush on Velma as a kid but this version makes me love Shaggy, surprisingly. Overall a fun reinvention though a bit repetitive at times. Lots of text but I didn't mind 😂 #mommyreads #apocalypse #horror #comics #scoobydoo

Serotonin Interesting. Reminds me of the reimagined Flintstones comics 😉 I should give this a read! 6y
alanacristin @Serotonin ohh thanks for reminding me about that one!! Fingers crossed my library has it 🍀 i love reliving my childhood with all these (often twisted) remakes 😍 6y

This was an interesting iteration of Scooby-Doo. Daphne is a kick-ass investigative journalist, Velma is a mad scientist, Fred is a well meaning cameraman, Shaggy is a hipster dog trainer, and Scooby is an experimental smart dog. It mixes science and the #supernatural. Once I got used to the updates, it was a fun read, and I'll definitely pick up volume 2 when it releases. #sizzlinsummerbooks

BibliophileMomma Omg. I need to read this. I love scooby doo. 7y
AmandaL @Tiffy_Reads Just wait to you see what they did to Scrappy-Doo... 7y

Let's talk about what a great idea it was for DC to start a Scooby Doo comic: 1) updated, modern-borderline-scifi high tech 2) Daphne is the head boss of this group and takes no shit. I am fully picturing Sarah Michelle Gellar from the films here 3) Fred is even more of a hunky beefcake thank u 4) Velma's intelligence is WAY played up I love it 5) the writer managed to keep Scooby & Shaggy's ultimate charm, while updating their stories. Omg.
