Main character Elliot Gabaroche decides to set up her own “Bunbury”-ing scheme to avoid her family‘s expectations and attend a summer camp for genius teenagers. What follows is entertaining and clever and cute, and I really enjoyed this book.
pickThis book was amazing and I basically read it in a day. The story follows Elliot as she runs away to a genius camp in hopes of winning a scholarship to her dream school. The only wrench is her genius cousin and maybe this guy she is totally crushing on. For added fun, there are a ton nerd references and the whole thing is seconds away from turning into a farce of The Importance of Being Earnest. Just read the book.
Should keep me going through the rest of January, especially now that school is about to start... did you know I am back in a library next year? In NYC for #BookExpo, but today was a visit to the Strand, where I found a used copy of Behind the Throne, and BlogBoundCon, where I snagged an ARC of Not Now, Not Ever. The latter is a YA contemporary retelling of The Importance of Being Earnest, which sounds INSANE but possibly also great!
