Something about convincing atoms to work together to form elegant new technology, and also negotiating inter species diplomacy…? 8mo

Did you ever read a book that somehow consumes your entire day?? It was like being cocooned under a cozy blanket and being enveloped in a warm embrace. I started the audio at 8am and now it‘s 4pm. I‘m not sure where the day went but my heart was with Roya, Bahman, Mr. Fakhri, and Walter too. The deeper into the story I got, the more engrossed I became. I especially loved reading all the Persian dishes. #ReadingAsia21 #Iran #Pop21 #DreamJob

Today I'm focusing on cataloging at work. I have fiction and non-fiction on this side. On the other side of the cart are paperbacks, graphic novels, and large print. Most of the books I'm cataloging come out on Tuesday. Honestly, cataloging is one of my favorite parts of my job. 😍

TheFunkyBookworm I‘m contemplating starting an in person YA book club through meet up but not sure what the turn out would be. Do you meet with teens or adults who enjoy YA? 6y

Mem_ugh @TheFunkyBookworm I run a teen book club at my library, but I‘ve gotten several requests from adults who want to join my teen book club but are too old. I think it could go over really well if you did decide to go through with it 6y

TheFunkyBookworm @Mem_ugh thanks! I think it‘s awesome that you have actual teens showing up for a library book club! I so struggle with getting my 8th graders to enjoy reading which is why I‘ve tried to immerse myself in YA so that I can give them great recommendations that will hopefully hook them. In the process I‘ve become hooked myself! Lol 6y

Mem_ugh @TheFunkyBookworm it took a few months to get a group together but now I have a pretty consistent group of about 15 who come every month. I absolutely do the same thing, I‘m the youth services librarian at my library and the amount of YA I read just so that I can do good readers advisory is astronomical. I‘m a little obsessed. 😆 6y
