This was a nice book to listen to.
Becoming outcasted from her mennonite family due to being an unwed pregnant girl. When her baby is 4 months old, he has cancer, and now the truth will come out as to who the father is, which Rachel has tried to keep secret from her twin.
Loved the storyline, and the characters were very warm to follow in the story.

After staying up until midnight, I was able to clock in just over 24 hours. I didn't think I was going to make it. I had so much fun pushing myself as a reader (Thankfully, I only had to read Llama Llama Red Pajama twice). I can't want until the next 24in48 in January. I'm hoping there will be snow on the ground! #readathon #24in48

If there were a novel's title (just the title, not the storyline) to describe most of my life, The Outcast would be it. Most of my life, I've been on the outside looking in. Even as an adult, I struggle to be a part of the group. #24in48 #readathon @Litsy @24in48

Jolina Petersheim is such an awesome writer! Her first book, The Outcast, is a modern twist on The Scarlet Letter set in an Amish community. I feel honored that I got to edit her news articles in college. I'm such a proud editor!
