I‘ve just finished the first in this series on audio and immediately (within the same day) started the next book on audio. And to my horror it is a completely different narrator 🤯 AND the new narrator is portraying the characters COMPLETELY differently. He has managed to completely change the characters, cockneys are now posh, fast talkers are now slow. I hate it!!! This shouldn‘t be allowed 🤯

I am posting one book per day from my extensive to-be-read collection. No description or reason for wanting to read the book. Some are old and some will be new. Don't judge me - I have a lot of books.

First book read this year and perfect fun for lazy holiday afternoon. The Vinyl Detective searches for records on behalf of collectors most of the time. This time, his brief is to find the missing child of a lead singer of a sixties rock band. On the way he is dosed with LSD, shot at, and manages to solve the mystery. He can be a bit snarky but not enough to irritate, and redeems any fault with good instincts.

Friday night bedtime book: the second vinyl detective mystery. I‘m giving myself a treat because I‘m feeling virtuous because I‘ve ordered the books and some of the trinkets for my #secretsantagoespostal match. Fingers cross I‘ve interpreted the clues correctly!

I really enjoyed the first Vinyl Detective book. Here's hoping that the second one is equally engaging.
