This book gave me that weird, wholesome, nostalgic feeling only the best books give.
Maybe being bored is a good thing. Because what that actually means is that things aren‘t like they were. And that‘s all I ever really want, for things to never be like they were.
And I‘ve got to keep sorting my shit out, because life is messy.
But fuck, it can be beautiful.
This book gave me that weird, wholesome, nostalgic feeling only the best books give.
Started it today, totally deviating from my current list (SHOCKER!) The writing hooked me immediately and I'm already intrigued by the characters at 16% into the book. Seems like a book I'll end up falling in love with.
So very good. This book takes raw grief and propels it inside the mind of the everyday teen. Well done.
This is a #YoungAdult novel with a lot of substance. Six months after the death of her best friend, still grieving Ava meets Gideon, an unusual boy with problems of his own. They are good for each other until their friendship gets complicated. The characters and the story felt very real. A great read.
