#rayoflight #MOvember

I still need to read Ray Bradbury one of these days. I keep seeing all these glowing Litsy posts about his work, and it's the time of year to reading resolutions for 2020, so I'm going to make this my first. #readingresolutions @Cinfhen

BarbaraBB Haha! Good one! 2w

I have been going back and forth about my resolutions, but now, a week into the New Year, I finally think I have settled on something.

So, in 2019 I will...
- try to finish the books from my #RecommendationsChallenge2018
- do #Booked2019
- use the library and audiobooks more, especially for nonfiction
- read as much as possible and don‘t stress about it

Tamra Yay for the last resolution! 👍🏾👍🏾 11mo

One of my reading resolutions for 2019 is to really tackle the books I already own! I started the year at 84 books I own but haven't read yet. Both the books I've finished this year were from that pile so I've already brought it down to 82! Above are three more books from that stack, albeit some of the most exciting ones since they're recent review copies that have been sent to me! #ReadingResolutions

SW-T Good job! I‘m trying to do more of that also 🙄📚 11mo
js0315 I've tried reading some of the ones I have, but I can't get into the ones I've tried. 11mo

CaseyTheCanadianLesbrarian @js0315 I say at that point, get rid of them! Then they're no longer books you own that you feel like you have to read! 11mo
BookishTrish This is a sweet TBR spread 11mo
CaseyTheCanadianLesbrarian I know right! 11mo

I‘m either 6 days late or 1 day early for #SundayFunday #ReadingResolutions.
• Read 90 books
• Use my new physical reading log (maybe my kids will want a record of what I read someday? Not convenient with Goodreads and Litsy)
• Read at least 40 hours per month (use Bookly to track time)
• Read more graphic novels

When the currently reading list, physical bookshelves and e bookshelves are groaning and leaving you confused and overwhelmed! I own enough diverse books, I just need to get around to reading them. So it's a digital detox and a promise to try not to buy any charity shop books and to try to simplify things a little by finishing books, and read ones I've been really looking forward to.

lahousewyfe Me too! So many books owned and unread. We can do it! 11mo
Amor4Libros I am going to try to do the same this year! My goal is to try to just stick to just buying #BOTM at least until June and begin tackling my massive TBR! Best of luck! 11mo
readordierachel Good goals! I need to do the same. 11mo

New year, new reading log!

Happy New Year, Littens! May your year be filled with many a cozy armchair & never-ending stacks of books ♥️

My 2019 goal is back to 70 books, & 20 AOC, 7 w/ LGBTQIA+ characters, 1 nonfiction. It‘s both daunting & exhilarating to stare at that 0% on goodreads & this empty spread, thinking of all the books it‘s going to fill up with.

Got any #readingresolutions of your own? I‘d love to know!

#BuJo #bulletjournal

Freespirit Your resolutions look great. Mine are to take more time for reading ( less TV😊), try to read 50 books, audiobooks in the car and when I walk instead of podcasts, 2 non-fiction, a book of short stories, and a school re-read 😊😊 11mo

I‘ve set myself a few #ReadingResolutions for 2019:

📚Complete all unfinished series
📚Reduce my TBR to zero
📚Reread some of my favourite books

The tagged title is is one of my favourites and is first up on Audible.

Kaye Good goals. I‘ve got kindle books that‘ve been on there for years. I need to read them first. 11mo
Birdsong28 You can do it!! 😀📚📖 11mo
Ms_T @kaye Thanks. I‘m determined to give it my best shot. 11mo

Ms_T @Birdsong28 🙌🏻 11mo
JillR I tried my hardest to clear my TBR by the end of 2018 and got it down to about 5. The key for me, unfortunately, was lots of bailing 😆 11mo
Ms_T @JillR Oh dear! 😂😂😂 11mo
JillR @ms_t there was a reason some of those books had stayed on that pile... 🤣 11mo
Ms_T @JillR Hahaha! At least you can start again now 📚📚📚😜 11mo
JillR @ms_t that was the plan, and Father Christmas was very good to me 😉. Happy New Year x 11mo
Ms_T And to you, too x 11mo

📖 My Goodreads challenge will be to read 55 books

📖 Used the library as much as possible

📖 If the book doesn‘t interest me at the time move on to something else, it may just not be the right time

📖 Spend more time on Litsy and in my books than on Facebook...I really want to cut way back on that!

CouronneDhiver Join the DNF party ... it‘s liberating! 11mo
cassiopia I feel the same about Facebook. I'm contemplating on deleting my account after I move. 11mo
Hornsby78 These are all great goals!! 11mo

SassyBookworm @CouronneDhiver DNF as in do not Facebook? I have tried a lot more this year and have succeeded in only posting a few things about my kids (mainly for family I don‘t see often) and a few sports things I always tag. It has been great so I definitely feel more of a hiatus would be liberating! 11mo
SassyBookworm @cassiopia my only hesitation in deleting it completely is I have a lot of pictures I want to keep and it‘s sadly a way to keep up with distant family & friends bc I would really like to delete it! 11mo
SassyBookworm @Hornsby78 thank you! I really hope to read more books than 55! Although with me working full time now and both of my girls in school and doing activities I didn‘t want to set it to high and not be able to finish it. 11mo
cassiopia @SassyBookworm I totally get what you mean. I'm already 5 1/2 hours away from my nieces and nephews and come March I'll be moving another 19 hours away. Facebook is the main way I get to see them on a regular basis. 11mo
SassyBookworm @cassiopia isn‘t sad that Facebook is one of our main ways to connect and communicate with family and friends! 11mo
cassiopia It is extremely sad. 11mo
RebL @SassyBookworm FB demanded that I send a gov‘t issued ID or a combo of bank records/birth cert, which I wasn‘t about to do. Before they kicked me off, I was able to download my entire FB record. So, you can save your photos if you do leave. 11mo
sebrittainclark 🎉❤🎉❤🎉 11mo
SassyBookworm @RebL that‘s good to know! I honestly have used Facebook as my photos storage space so I‘m glad if I actually do close my page I can still keep my pictures! 11mo
Ejensen86 Great resolutions. I am simply going to make mine to read one more than 2018 which brings me to 9 or 10 (not counting books from school) and to graduate to level one of the Chataqua Book Club 11mo
