Avevo bisogno di un libro molto leggero e romantico, e questo rispondeva ai miei bisogni.
Ma giunti alla parte romantica che tanto aspettavo (arrivata praticamente in fondo al libro), ho trovato molto trash, e subito dopo la tragedia.
2 per la compagnia e la confusione finale, e comunque devo ammettere che ho apprezzato la lettura 😂 (stile TV spazzatura che guardi per staccare proprio)

I read this in translation, so some of the faults may be the translator not the author. But I found the dialog to be stilted, and the plot contrived. And while a bit of romance in a book isn't a bad thing, I'd really like to read about a mature woman who didn't fall into the arms of the first decent man she meets. I enjoyed the bits of Sri Lankan and Ceylon history and culture that were in the book, but those didn't rescue this from being "meh."

Y newest treadmill book. Oddly, Goodreads doesn't list this translation so I marked the original German novel, which looks odd, since I don't speak German. #eBook #intranslation

Sono appena tornata dal mio viaggio mentale sull'Isola delle farfalle, tra le piantagioni di tè..i flashback descritti in questo libro sono assolutamente coinvolgenti! Peccato che in generale la storia lasci un po' di dubbi e alla fine non ci si sente del tutto soddisfatti. :/ ..un libro da salvare a metà! :(
