⭐️⭐️⭐️

Usually I despise books which take place in a high school setting, but Julia Day made me turn my cheek with her YA contemporary, The Possibility of Somewhere.

Two teenagers, Eden and Ash, have been academic rivals since grade 9, competing for the best average.

I have finally said screw-it to The History of Bees for some time and I have moved on to The Possibility of Somewhere by Julia Day.

I am quite liking the read so far. It's fast, easy, simple and cute. Eden's character is also amazing and I can relate to her on a lot of levels. 🙌🏻

Have a great day guys. 💕

I liked this book, however, I felt like it didn't quite reach its full potential. This book would have been amazing if it included Ash's perspective. I really wanted to learn more about Ash and his struggles. The other thing I didn't like was how it was a bit insta-lovey. They went from hating each other to liking each other really fast. Aside from those things, I did enjoy the book. I liked how class differences were highlighted.

Taking it easy today and tackling the TBR. Calypso has staked out her spot. All of the cats are excellent reading buddies but I think she really looks forward to it.

Eden is a great character (a lot like I was/am), and the interactions between her and her parents were almost always believable. A couple of plot points weren't that believable or necessary really, but overall because of Eden, her personality and drive and her relationships with Mundy and Ash, I liked it.

I like this character already. I always--ALWAYS--sat in the farthest back corner in college, and still do at teacher trainings. Because, like Eden, I hate not knowing what people behind me are doing.

Now this, as I spend some quality time at the pool after working my ass off in the yard all summer. Thanks to St. Martin's Press!
